Temujin Gill (Artistic Director) 

Temujin Gill, Artistic Director of Grounded Movement, is an eclectic choreographer and one of the UK’s most experienced exponents of Lindy Hop and African American Jazz dances. Ex- Jiving Lindy Hopper and Artist in Residence at Greenwich Dance since 2006, his work ranges from movement direction and choreography to teaching, training and dance therapy.

As well as choreographing the NHS section of Danny Boyles award winning London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, past credits include the sell-out Harlem Renaissance production at Greenwich Dance's The Supper Room, movement direction for Pia Futado’s "Guardian hot pick of the summer 2014” Titus Andronicus, and choreography for the Young Vic’s production of Kafka’s Monkey.

He founded Greenwich based adult community jazz performance group, Lindy Kicks, in 2013, and also works closely with Associate Choreographer, Sunanda Biswas, developing Grounded Movements sister company Grounded UK. Through positive and ambitious projects, he is committed to bringing dance and performing arts to the whole community, from collaborating with professional artists to guiding the inexperienced of all ages and backgrounds through transformative experiences.
