Dance as a Shared Experience
Grounded Movement, specialise in original Jazz and social dances through the ages, blending together a rich mix of styles across a range of theatrical and participatory experiences. Artistic Director and Greenwich Dance artist in residence Temujin Gill and Associate Chorographer Sunanda Biswas joined forces to form Grounded Movement in 2013.
Together with sister company Grounded UK, the youth training and Hip Hop arm of the company, they work with a diverse collective of artists grounded in the rich culture of dances and music borne from the street. Past events range from Greenwich + Docklands International Festival and Sadlers Well’s Breakin’ Convention, to the Southbank Centre’s Festival of Love, Swing and Jam Winter Festival and the Lindy Hop extravaganza for Ray Davies’ Meltdown Festival.
